OPEN CALL FOR STAFF MEMBERS OF ERA

ERA – LGBTI Equal Rights Association for Western Balkans and Turkey, is a newly established association of 25 civil society organizations from the region directly working with LGBTI people, or providing support and services for the LGBTI people. ERA’s seat is in Belgrade, Serbia. ERA’s mission is to inspire positive change in the society, promote and advocate for human rights of people of all sexual orientations, gender identities and expressions, and sex characteristics, by facilitating cooperation and providing resources and capacity development for the movements across the Balkans and Turkey.
ERA – LGBTI Equal Rights Association for Western Balkans and Turkey, is now seeking 5 passionate persons who will be able to implement and convey ERA’s strategy and vision with high impact. The 5 job positions represent the core executive body of the Association and are directly responsible for the realization of the mission of the Association. The 5 available positions are as follows:

Executive Director (with the focus on financial management, administration and organisational development)
Research and Advocacy Manager
Capacity Development Manager
Communications Officer
Finance and Administration Officer

Recruitment and selection process
The recruitment process for the 5 staff positions consists of two phases:
First phase
Submitting a fully completed application package  which has to consist of all of the following:

Fully completed application form in English language. Application form is attached to this Open Call.
CV, which should be up to 3 pages long, in the Euro-pass CV format, in English language. Europass CV template, as well as the Europass CV instructions, are attached to this Open Call.
At least two recommendation letters from previous employers or other entities/persons who can tell us about your professional abilities, skills and achievements.Recommendation letters should be made with the letterhead of the employer, contact details of the employer, and should be signed and stamped by the employer. Recommendation letters should be in English language. Recommendation letters should be scanned and sent in an electronic format.

Second phase
An interview with selected candidates will be conducted by a three-member ERA selection committee. Only shortlisted candidates will be invited for the interview. Interviews will be conducted in English language.
The selection committee for the Executive Directors consists of three ERA Steering Board members – two co-chairs and one secretary. The selection committee for the other 4 staff positions, is also a three-member one – the two Executive Directors and one Steering Board member.

The deadline for submitting application packages for the Executive Director position is 9 October 2015, 23:59 CET.
The deadline for submitting application packages for the other 4 job positions, is 7 October 2015, 23:59 CET.
Every completed application package should be submitted to dragana.todorovic@labris.org.rs  and ezgi.kocak@kaosgl.org by the indicated deadline.
All incomplete application packages or application packages received after the deadline will be automatically rejected.
