Online Forum on Hate Speech in Albania
ERA – LGBTI Equal Rights Association for the Western Balkans and Turkey in cooperation with member organization Open Mind Spectrum Albania (OMSA)held on 12 May an online forum with representatives of the Albanian parliament, government, human rights institutions and civil society organizations in order to discuss the phenomenon of hate speech especially by political leaders (but not only), towards vulnerable communities such as women and girls, LGBTI people and the Roma community.
The meeting was attended on Zoom by a total of 15 participants (10 women and 5 men) and on the day of its broadcasting on Facebookit was viewed by 592 people, with 116 engagements, 2 comments and 11 shares (including MPs, NGOs; activists and partners).
