Historic: LGBTI+ activists respond to invitation of Anti LGBTI Pastor

08 Nov

Tirana, Albania – An activity was held yesterday in the premises of the Church “Gospel of Christ-Metropol” to host Italian journalist, Nausicaa Della Valle. During this night, accompanied by music and prayer, she shared her experience as an “ex-lesbian “. She claims to have been “cured” of homosexuality, after several years of living as a lesbian. In the meanwhile, she is committed to “converting” all LGBTIQ + people and “guiding” them to the “Way of God”.
Akil Pano, one of the most vocal figures against the LGBTIQ + community and LGBTIQ + families in Albania, during a TV show, in which journalist Della Valle shared her story of “healing”, invited all people to join them at Sunday’s event.
LGBTI+ activists responded to the invitation of the pastor and went yesterday to his church in the capital city to follow this event closely and to listen to the “journey” of “healing” of Nausicaa.
LGBTIQ+ activist, Xheni Karaj, who entered the church premises hand in hand with her girlfriend, wrote “We came with an open mind that we should not change by listening to Akili, but nothing…. We still remain lesbians and gays! ”
Among other things, she said, “Now it is Akili’s turn to allow God to speak to him about love. Because-once again- “Love is patient, full of kindness; love has no envy, does not point out, does not boast. AMEN!
Xheni Karaj’s full reaction on her Facebook:
“We came with the open mind that we would not change by listening to Akili, but nothing… We remain lesbians and gays!
We heard Akili’s invitation to attend his Church on Friday, so we came today to hear the word of God with our ears.
We came with an open mind and heart. We stayed two hours, listening to the messages that were shared today.
Since we came with an open mind we hoped that God would anoint us with His grace and pour upon us all the blessings He pours unsparingly upon His creatures.
I said to myself: give the pastor a chance, that it is not worth ignoring. As God said to the prophet Nehemiah, “When the Lord will say something to us, He can make even the stones speak.
So you can ignore Akil but not God! ” I said, listen to the message that God will give you through Akil’s mouth, rather than listen to the stone.
I thought that after listening to the service today, I would probably love Livia less, maybe I would look at my love for her as a sin. But, I came out of the Church of Akili filled with love! I love Livia now more than yesterday, and thanks to Akil for becoming a tool for God to tell me that, here, in HIS home, that there is nothing wrong with love. On the contrary, it is even stronger than hope itself.
Honestly, God spoke to us today. He spoke to us through the First Epistle of the Apostle Paul to the Corinthians, Chapter 13, which says:
“Even if I shared all my wealth to feed the poor and give my body to burn, and I had no love, it would be of no use to me!”
‘‘Love is patient; full of kindness; love has no envy, does not point out, does not boast “,
“He does not behave inappropriately, does not ask for his, does not get angry, does not suspect evil”;
“He does not rejoice in injustice, but rejoices in the truth,
“He endures all things, believes all things, hopes all things, endures all things.
“Love never fails, but prophecies are abolished, tongues cease, and knowledge is abolished. ”
‘‘When I was a child, I spoke like a child, I thought like a child, I reasoned like a child; “When I became a man, I threw away childish things.”
‘‘Now, then, these three things remain faith, hope, and love; but the greatest of these is love. ”
Now it is Akli’s turn to allow God to speak to him about love. Because – once again – “Love is patient; full of kindness; “Love has no envy, does not point out, does not boast.”
AMEN!
This is probably the first time that the colors of the LGBTIQ + flag decorated the premises of the Church of the Gospel of Christ, at least in Albania.
